Unlike traditional chemical refining that uses alkali to neutralize free fatty acids (FFA), our full-continuous system employs a more efficient steam distillation (physical deacidification) method. The core principle is to remove FFA, odors, and other volatiles simultaneously in the deodorizer under high-temperature and high-vacuum conditions. This approach eliminates the need for the alkali neutralization, soapstock separation, and water washing stages, resulting in:

1) Higher Oil Yield: Eliminates the intrinsic neutral oil loss associated with chemical neutralization and soapstock separation. No oil is saponified or trapped in soapstock.

2) Higher-Value By-product: Recovered fatty acids are pure and more valuable.

Core Equipment and Functions of Full-Continuous Crude Palm Oil Refinery Plant

Centrifugal Mixer: Used for instantaneous, high-intensity mixing of phosphoric acid with crude palm oil. Its purpose is to convert non-hydratable phospholipids into a hydratable form, preparing them for subsequent removal.

Acid Reactor: Provides controlled retention time to allow the acid-oil mixture reaction to proceed fully and completely.

Disc Centrifugal Separator

Disc Centrifugal Separator: Performs continuous, high-speed centrifugal separation of the processed mixture—comprising oil, hydrated gums, and water—replacing the traditional static settling method. It separates out the gums and process water, thereby yielding degummed oil with low gum and low phosphorus content.

Decolorization tower

Decolorization tower: Facilitates precise, continuous contact between oil and bleaching earth under vacuum. It thoroughly adsorbs pigments, residual phospholipids, and metal ions, stabilizing oil color and preventing "color reversion" in the deodorizing tower.

Deodorizing tower

Deodorizing Tower: It integrates the functions of deacidification and deodorization into a single unit. Its structured tray design enables the oil to flow from top to bottom in thin film layers under high temperature and high vacuum conditions, thereby efficiently removing free fatty acids and odorous volatiles through steam distillation.

Four-Stage Steam Ejector Vacuum Pump: Composed of four ejectors (the first three stages are steam jet ejectors, and the fourth stage is a water jet pump), arranged in a horizontal series layout. They provide a stable and ultra-high vacuum environment for the deodorizing tower. The multi-stage series design progressively increases the vacuum degree, ensuring deodorization efficiency and reducing steam consumption.

Fatty Acid Condenser & Recovery Equipment: Condenses and collects the volatile distillate from the deodorizer, primarily comprising high-purity palm fatty acids, transforming it into a valuable saleable by-product.

Supporting equipment such as crude oil filters, leaf filters, vacuum dryers, heat conductive oil stove systems, PLC control systems, and various oil pumps and tanks complete this full-continuous type crude palm oil refinery plant.
