A palm oil presser (also called a palm oil expeller) is the core machine used to extract crude oil from fresh palm fruits. Henan Glory Company manufactures two main types of palm oil pressers: single screw and double screw. Both are designed for reliable continuous operation and are used in major palm oil producing countries such as Nigeria, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Single screw and double screw palm oil pressers

The single screw palm oil presser has a capacity of 300-500 kg per hour. It is ideal for small workshops, home-based production, or areas where electricity supply may be unstable. The palm oil presser keeps palm kernels largely intact during pressing, which allows you to sell the palm kernels as an additional product. Power options include a 4kW electric motor or an 8hp diesel engine.

The double screw palm oil presser offers higher capacity, starting from 1-2 tons per hour, with larger models up to 15 tons per hour available. It is designed for palm oil factories and production lines. Two screws rotate in opposite directions, creating strong and stable squeezing force. The residual oil rate in the press cake is kept at 6%–7%. A hydraulic system (up to 100MPa) allows real‑time pressure adjustment for better results.

The double screw palm oil presser

Both of the aforementioned models utilize 2Cr13 wear-resistant alloy steel for the manufacture of their screw shafts, which are formed using an integral casting process. Compared to standard carbon steel, this alloy material offers a significantly extended service life—lasting anywhere from six months to a full year under normal maintenance conditions—thereby reducing the labor, material, and time costs associated with replacing the screw, while also delivering exceptional wear resistance.

Typically, a single screw palm oil presser can operate as a standalone unit. For instance, small-scale farms or workshops can utilize a palm oil presser to process palm fruit independently, producing crude palm oil for direct sale or for their own culinary use. To achieve higher production efficiency, the palm oil presser can be integrated with other auxiliary machinery to construct a complete palm oil production line. A typical small-scale palm oil production line usually comprises a palm fruit thresher, a palm oil presser, a vibrating screen (optional), and a plate-and-frame filter. This configuration not only entails a low initial investment but also significantly enhances palm oil extraction efficiency. Medium-to-large scale palm oil production lines are typically equipped with palm fruit sterilizers, digesters, oil clarification systems, and additional palm kernel processing machinery.
